Isaac Feldman of Beverly Hills Porsche shares his Porsche Heritage
Twitter is a great place; you get to meet really cool folks. One of the coolest people you’ll meet is Isaac Feldman. He is one of the many active participants of the Porsche twitter community. He works at Beverly Hills Porsche and he gets to drive the latest and greatest Porsche has to offer! He took a few moments to tell us about his Porsche Heritage!

PH: You must have the best Job ever! Do you get to drive a ton of Porsche’s? Whats the biggest perk of the Job?
Isaac Feldman: I really do love my job. Well, usually, at least. There are a lot of great perks, the most obvious is being around all these amazing cars all day long and getting to drive them whenever I want. My favorite part of my job is getting a client that has never been in a Porsche and showing them what the cars are all about. I love how excited they get the first time they go for a ride in one, no matter which model it is. There are few better feelings than having clients call me randomly just to tell me how much they love their car. I still here from people who bought cars months or sometimes even years ago, just to say hi and they love their Porsche. Another great perk that most people don’t know about is that every time a new model comes out, Porsche takes us out to drive it on a racetrack and road course against all the “Competitors.” When the Panamera came out, they took us to Arizona and we drove the cars at Firebird raceway. I love driving Porsche’s on the racetracks, especially when I don’t have to pay for the tires!
PH: Whats your daily driver?
Isaac Feldman: My daily driver is a 2008 VW Touareg (I know, you don’t have to tell me) but I just got a 1984 Porsche 944 as a fun/track car and I love it so much I’ve been driving it every day, even to and from work. I haven’t driven the Touareg since I got the 944!
PH: When was the first time you saw a Porsche or experienced?
Isaac Feldman: The first time I remember seeing a Porsche was when I was a little kid in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Commando movie. I think it was a 911 Targa but don’t remember that well, I just remember thinking it was sooooooo cool. I grew up in Peru, so naturally didn’t see any in person until we moved to the U.S.
PH: What was the model?
Isaac Feldman: I think it was a 911 Targa
PH: When was the first time you drove a Porsche?
Isaac Feldman: The first time I drove a Porsche was when I worked for a wholesaler (a company that sells used cars to dealers) and we had a couple of 996’s. It was love at first drive.
PH: What was your first Porsche?
Isaac Feldman: My first Porsche was a 2006 Cayman S. I miss that car so much. That car is so well balanced and was a real blast to drive. I had so much fun in it. I used to love taking out 911 drivers and scaring the hell out of them in my Cayman S.
PH: How many Porsches have you owned?
Isaac Feldman: 2, the Cayman S and my “new” 944
PH: Why did you get rid of them? If you did?
Isaac Feldman: I had to trade in the Cayman S to lower my payment. It was after the economy crashed and just needed to lower my overhead. I really miss it.
PH: What is your Porsche now?
Isaac Feldman: A 1984 944 Standard Coupe. Manual Trans. 75k miles and really clean. I can’t wait to get it out on the track!
PH: Do you think you’ll ever sell your Porsche anytime soon?
Isaac Feldman: I doubt it, I just got it and am really enjoying it.
PH: What would be your next Porsche? (If I really had a choice, I’d get a Porsche 904)
Isaac Feldman: I’ve always wanted a 914 to have as a track car because I love mid-engine cars, but I think I’ll be fine with my 944 for a while. I want to have one of each kind… I would love a 911 S Coupe as a daily driver, a Panamera Turbo to drive the family (when I have one) around, and Cayenne for off-roading and camping, and a Boxster S for fun in the sun. I don’t know which one I’ll get next though.
PH: What are your favorite bookmarks and links?
Isaac Feldman: Porscheheritage.com of course!
PH: Do you work on your Porsche? To what extent? Change Oil?
Isaac Feldman: I’m embarrassed to say, I have never worked on any of my cars. (Does plugging in my iPod count?)
PH: Where do you get your car serviced? (When and if you have to?)
Isaac Feldman: Here at the dealership.
PH: What is your most fondest/vivid memory of your Porsche? Was it a road trip?
Isaac Feldman: Every time I took my Cayman S to the track, except the last time, when I had to get towed home… oops.
PH: What is your Porsche routine? Drive it every weekend?
Isaac Feldman: Drive it every day (my VW’s are really starting to get jelous). If I leave work late enough to not have too much traffic I like to take Mulholland Dr. to Sepulveda to Sunset Blvd, to PCH to get home (I live in Santa Monica). It’s a long drive but really fun.
PH: Do you intend to do a “hand me down”? To your son/daughter? Grandson/Granddaughter?
Isaac Feldman: Of course but not until they’re mature enough to handle a sports car. I know I wasn’t when I was 16… I would have killed myself.
PH: Do you belong to a club? Do you guys have weekly coffee meetups?
Isaac Feldman: Not yet, I plan on joining the Porsche Owners Club for track events. I used to go to the track with SpeedVentures.
PH: Would you like to give a shout out to anyone? Guys that helped you out, etc..? (Show them some ‘love’ and appreciation)
Isaac Feldman: Everyone at the dealership and all my new friends on Twitter!
PH: What is your dream Porsche? Something that you’ll never let go, my dream Porsche is the 904/GTS.
Isaac Feldman: I also love the 904/GTS. Also an old 356 coupe and cab, a 914-6, a 964-generation 911, a 993 Turbo and C4S coupe, and a new GT3 RS. When I grow up I want a Porsche collection to rival Seinfeld’s
